Agricultural & Rural Helicopter Lifting in Queensland

Across the gully in four minutes. Tanks, fencing and infrastructure placed on country where a truck would take half a day — if it got there at all.

02

The problem

Why this lift is hard the conventional way

On a working property the infrastructure is always at the far end of the worst paddock: the ridge, the gully, the black soil that will not carry a truck after rain.

  • Wet-season black soil strands heavy vehicles for weeks.
  • Tank stands and bores sit on ridges deliberately, for gravity feed.
  • Gullies and creek crossings add hours to every delivery.
  • Ground vehicles damage pasture, crops and erosion-prone country.

How we do it

Aircraft, rigging, crew and duration

Aircraft
Airbus H125 for most rural tasking; Black Hawk for large tanks
Rigging method
Cargo net and long line, cradle rigging for tanks
Crew
Pilot, loadmaster, ground crew at staging and receiving points
Typical duration
Two to five hours on task for a typical property package
  1. 01Property walk-through by map: staging point, receiving points, hazards.
  2. 02Loads staged near the homestead or a trafficable paddock gate.
  3. 03Stock moved out of the flight path and receiving areas.
  4. 04Shuttle cycles flown to each placement point in sequence.
04

Typical loads

What we lift, what it weighs, what it takes

Cost factors

What moves the number

Distance from base

Ferry time to western and northern properties dominates the total.

Loads per mobilisation

Batch the whole year's infrastructure into one visit.

Neighbour sharing

Adjoining properties splitting a mobilisation cut cost sharply.

Load weight

Anything over 1,000 kg moves onto the Black Hawk.
