Why this lift is hard the conventional way
A backyard spa or plunge pool sits behind a house, a fence and usually a set of powerlines. A crane must reach over all three from the street, and needs a hard stand to do it.
- Deep blocks put the pool well beyond a mobile crane's rated reach.
- Street setup means road occupancy permits, traffic control and 6 to 8 hours on site.
- Fences, eaves and landscaping frequently have to be removed and rebuilt.
- Overhead powerlines rule out crane positions on many suburban streets.

What you need ready on the day
- Prepared base, bearers or slab ready before the lift.
- Backyard clear of furniture, umbrellas, shade sails and loose material.
- A staging area within a few kilometres for rigging the shell.
- Neighbours notified; pets and people indoors during the approach.
- Tree canopy trimmed where it obstructs the vertical descent.
