AS350

The aircraft we fly on every job. High cycle rates, tight approaches, and a load placed in about 20 minutes of flight time on site.

Payload figures are planning figures. Actual available payload on the day is calculated from temperature, elevation, fuel state and working radius, and is confirmed in the load plan before the aircraft launches.

Capability

What it is good at

Typical applications

  • Spa, pool shell and tank placement into fenced backyards, 400 to 700 kg
  • Rooftop condensers, split systems and packaged units to 780 kg
  • Antenna and tower hardware to ridgeline and rooftop sites, 60 to 500 kg
  • Concrete skip and material cycling to sites a pump cannot reach, 500 to 700 kg
  • Solar frames and panel bundles across large arrays, 300 to 650 kg
  • Island and remote resort logistics with high cycle counts

Where it wins

  • Loads under 800 kg, which covers the overwhelming majority of Queensland lifting work.
  • Confined suburban and rooftop sites where a small rotor disc and a 40 m exclusion zone is the deciding factor.
  • Programme pressure: about 20 minutes of flight time on site against 6 to 8 hours for a road crane, including access, hard stand, permits and set up.
  • Repetitive work: 20 to 60 cycles in a flying day is normal, at about 5 minutes a cycle.

Where it stops

  • Loads above 800 kg are split into lighter picks or engineered as a staged multi-lift.
  • High density altitude on hot inland days reduces available payload; we plan to the day, not the brochure.
  • Single-engine operations over built-up areas require approved routes and profiles.
